Neon lamps might make you think bars, Vegas, the 80’s…But now they’ll make you think, cute desk decor!
Learn how shape and work with light-wire to make a custom faux “neon” lamp! It’s the perfect statement piece to brighten any room! :p You’ll also learn to work with concrete and molds to make a sturdy base for your lamp.
Make just about any shape, letter, or even small word that you want. We’ll make you a custom stencil for the workshop! Just fill in the phrase, name, word, or shape you’d like at checkout. *Shapes will be basic outlines, not too detailed. Words need to be small, only 3-4 letters max.
You’ll get to choose from 6 colors for your light: red, green, purple, pink, blue, or white (light colors are first come, first serve at the workshop).
Why faux neon? Real neon gas is highly toxic and making real neon signs involves furnaces and torches and glass blowing, etc. No wonder neon signs cost thousands of $$$! These “neon” signs have a similar look and feel without the safety hazards and hefty price tag. And they really do look fantastic!
* 2 people can work on this project together! You just need to buy one ticket and you can share working on one lamp.
Why we love this workshop:
These neon lamps are so versatile! We love adding a little flair to our desks at work, making a cute nightlight for the kids, and even adding a little pizazz to our home decor!
